Billionaire Elon Musk has just announced on social media that his match against Meta’s founder, Mark Zuckerberg, will be live-streamed on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

Starting from June, the two social media tycoons have agreed to participate in a mixed martial arts match in Las Vegas.

“The fight between Zuckerberg and Elon Musk will be live-streamed on X. All proceeds will be used for charity benefiting veterans,” Musk announced in a post on X early this morning (August 6) without providing specific details.

Meta has not yet responded to Musk’s announcement.

The “feud” between the two billionaires, both belonging to the world’s richest group, began in 2014 when Zuckerberg invited Musk to his home to discuss concerns about the safety of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Musk declined the invitation and stated that Instagram “makes people feel dissatisfied” and Facebook “gives me a great sense of worry and discomfort.”

In 2016, Musk’s SpaceX signed a contract to provide internet service to the Saharan region of Africa using the AMOS-6 satellite, replacing Facebook. However, the rocket carrying the satellite exploded, adding further tension between Musk and Zuckerberg.

According to Reuters.
